The Way to Happiness - Flourish and Prosper

The Way to Happiness - Flourish and Prosper

The Way to Happiness is a book by L. Ron Hubbard which delivers a set of basic morals for our modern world.  You can greatly enhance others you associate with by having them apply these precepts.

Precept # 21 - “Flourish and Prosper”

Ever feel like someone is against you?  Have you ever wrongly felt like you were a victim of someone’s harassment?

L. Ron Hubbard wrote: “Sometimes others seek to crush one down, to make nothing out of one’s hopes and dreams, one’s future and one, himself.”  Ever experience that?  Unfortunately there are people who want others to succumb.

Mr. Hubbard further stated: “The real handling of such a situation and such people, the real way to defeat them is to flourish and prosper.”

Definitely an important datum in today’s society.

The Way to Happiness - Respect the Religious Beliefs of Others

The Way to Happiness - Respect the Religious Beliefs of Others

The Way to Happiness is a book by L. Ron Hubbard which delivers a set of basic morals for our modern world.  You can greatly enhance others you associate with by having them apply these precepts.

Precept # 18 - “Respect the Religious Beliefs of Others”

Very spiritually enlightening!  An interesting portrayal of spiritual values.  All religions share this quality.

Freedom of religion is a basic human right.  Failure to respect these rights of others can cause contention.

L. Ron Hubbard wrote: “The way to happiness can become contentious when one fails to respect the religious beliefs of others.”

The Way to Happiness Foundation promotes L. Ron Hubbard’s book (The Way to Happiness) in over 90 languages.  You can also get your own booklet copy with your own custom cover.  Check out http://www.thewaytohappiness.org/ or http://www.twth.org for more information.

Scientology Volunteer Ministers in Kolkata, India Train Nursing Students

Scientology Volunteer Ministers in Kolkata, India Train Nursing Students

A seminar organised at a nursing college of Kolkata on Scientology Assist Technology enlightened the students about this technology and motivated them to use it while taking care of their patients.

I read a great article today about the Volunteer Ministers.  You can find the full article here: http://www.merinews.com/catFull.jsp?articleID=125337 Otherwise, below is some of the data from the article which explains the help the Volunteer Ministers were doing in teaching nursing students how to help their patients.

Students at a nursing college in Kolkata got the help they needed through a seminar on Scientology Assist Technology organised by Scientology Volunteer Ministers (VMs) of West Bengal in coordination with the Scientology Volunteer Ministers India Goodwill Tour.

The Volunteer Ministers chose the native language i.e. Bengali to deliver the lectures to 41 students at the nursing school. After listening to them the students realised that they lack the skill of taking care of patients by keeping the spiritual aspect in mind. And without this skill, the nurses who are surrounded by sufferings give up themselves to the idea that in many cases, nothing could be done about it.

The motto of the Volunteer Ministers is exactly the opposite. Their motto is ‘Something can be done about it.’  And this is also true because of the technology developed by its founder L. Ron Hubbard.  For example, one of the subjects in which Volunteer Ministers are trained is ‘Scientology assists’. This subject includes the simple procedures that address the emotional and spiritual side of the trauma, illness or injury.

The nursing students were also taught to use the Locational Processing Assist. A Locational assist is provided by deviating the person’s attention from the painful area of his body to somewhere else. When someone’s attention is fixated on a physical problem or on any emotional difficulty, a Locational Assist can help in deviating the attention, leaving him or her extroverted, in good spirits and more able to solve the problem. L. Ron Hubbard described the qualities of a Volunteer Minister in an essay, titled Religious Influence in Society: “A Volunteer Minister does not shut his eyes to the pain, evil and injustice of existence. Rather, he is trained to handle these things and help others achieve relief from them and new personal strength as well.”

The nursing students were delighted with the seminar.  They now understand that why Hubbard described VMs in these terms, because in the three short hours they also got to know about the tools they could use immediately and with the help of these tools they can take care of the patients in more efficient manner.

Scientologists Around the World Recognize June 6th as a Special Day

Scientologists Around the World Recognize June 6th as a Special Day

On June 6th, 1988, the motor vessel Freewinds was opened to advanced Scientologists providing special advanced spiritual services that are available no where else. The Freewinds is a 440-foot long motor vessel based in the Caribbean and provides a distraction-free environment for parishioners. The Freewinds delivers a service known in Scientology as OT VIII. It is currently the most advanced spiritual awareness level a parishioner can receive.

A voyage on the Freewinds is nowhere close to a vacation. Rather, it is the perfect religious retreat dedicated to enabling one to devote his full attention to spiritual growth.

One parishioner said, “Not only was I in a part of the world I had never seen, I was also there to embark on a spiritual journey of immense importance. The religious service I did there could only be accomplished at sea—literally off the crossroads of the world, where I and other Scientologists in a completely distraction-free environment could find out about ourselves and realms of spirituality that were quite beyond anything I had ever dreamed of.”

Every year Scientologists aboard the Freewinds and all of the world attend the Maiden Voyage events which cover the latest news of Scientology from around the world, its expansion and successes, as well as new Church activities and new tools or materials to assist Scientologists to achieve new heights of spiritual freedom.

Scientologists are Drug Free

Scientologists are Drug Free

One thing about Scientologists is that they are 100% drug free.  Scientologists therefore are obviously very concerned with the harmful results drugs have on families and people in general.

Many celebrities have stated that Scientology has helped them get rid of their drug habits, including Kirstie Alley, Lisa Marie Presley and Juliette Lewis.

Scientologists engage in many activities to assist others to get off of drugs and stay off of drugs.

For example, in virtually any Church of Scientology around the world, you can enroll on what is called the Purification Rundown.

What is the Purification Program?

The Purification Program is a carefully designed combination of exercise, vitamins, nutrition and sauna use which dislodges drug residues and other toxins from the fatty tissues so that these substances can then be eliminated from the body. While the Purification Program rids one of the biochemical residues that reactivate past drug experience, it is but the first step to a full resolution to the spiritual devastation caused by drug, medicine and alcohol abuse. http://www.scientology.org/en_US/news-media/faq/pg019.html

Here is a success story from the Purification Rundown:

I had used drugs ranging from marijuana to cocaine as well as others in between for three years. I was failing in school, disliked myself and had absolutely no inkling as to what I was doing or where I was going in life. The only time I had “fun” was when I was high on drugs. I then started the Purification Rundown and finished it in several weeks. I have been a changed person ever since! I am alive. I no longer have a fog around me. I can see what is really going on in life rather than living in a “fairyland.” I have been off drugs for six years now and I am a productive person in society. The Purification Rundown completely changed my life.” G.S.  http://www.purificationpgm.org/

Clear Body Clear Mind

A lot of the concepts contained within the Purification Rundown can be found in a book L. Ron Hubbard wrote called: “Clear Body Clear Mind.”  Kelly Preston has personally promoted this book widely because of the great information contained within it.

The Purification Program can help reverse the harmful spiritual and mental effects drugs can have on someone.

Narconon

Narconon is a non-profit drug rehab program dedicated to eliminating drug abuse and drug addiction through drug prevention, education and rehabilitation.  Narconon methods are based on the works of L. Ron Hubbard, but it isn’t part of the Church of Scientology.

There is over 100 Narconon drug rehab centers around the world and Narconon prides itself in being one of the greatest drug rehab programs around.  The Narconon Program has one of the highest success rates in the field of drug rehabilitation, with outside studies showing 75% of the graduates going on to lead stable, ethical, productive drug-free lives.

Here is a success story from the program:

When I first came to Narconon back in 1997, I was 27 years old, had been using every drug under the sun for 15 years and was basically in apathy as to whether or not anything could be done to help me. This was my third rehab in a year and I truly wanted help, I just didn’t think it was available. So I started doing the program and I could not find anything wrong with it. No matter how hard I tried, with all of my old paranoia and distrust in full effect, I just couldn’t find anything wrong with it. Here was a program that didn’t have me admit I was powerless and diseased, want me to relive my terrible past 90 times in 90 days (for the rest of my life) or want me to take “medication” for my “manic depression”.

“This is a program that truly showed me that I am powerful, that I can repair the past and that all the happiness I ever hope to find is within myself. This program not only showed me how to stay off of drugs, it did just what it promised, it gave me a new life. If you’re at the end of your rope and you’re ready to put in some good, honest hard work to make a change for the better, without drugs, Narconon is hands down the best drug rehabilitation drug program on the planet, period. I’ve been clean for 3 years now and I owe it all to my grandmother for getting me to Narconon and to Narconon and Mr. Benitez and Mr. Hubbard.

“Thank you very, very much.”

http://www.narconon.org/rehabresults.htm

Kelly Preston and John Travolta are also really fond of Narconon and were recently in Hawaii to help establish another Narconon there (http://www.narcononhawaii.org) and raise the needed funds for this.  See my other recent blog entries relating to that:

  1. Living a drug-free life.
  2. Showing my friends that a drug-free life is more fun.
  3. Helping my fellow Drug-Free Marshals.

New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project

This is a detoxification project which Tom Cruise highly supports.  This project followed the 9/11 attacks in New York City.  NYPD and NYFD worked tirelessly at Ground Zero helping those caught under the debris, however, as a result, they suffered badly by the amount of toxins in the air as you can imagine.  Talk about toxic exposure.  The New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project was established to rid people of these toxins.  This procedure has been very effective and is based off of L. Ron Hubbard’s technology.  See my other blog entries about the NY Detox here:

CCHR - Citizen’s Commission on Human Rights

CCHR's Headquarters
CCHR International headquarters in Los Angeles, California

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) is a non-profit, public benefit organization dedicated to investigating and exposing psychiatric violations of human rights. It also ensures that criminal acts within the psychiatric industry are reported to the proper authorities and acted upon.

 Dr. Thomas Szasz
Dr. Thomas Szasz

CCHR was founded in 1969 by the Church of Scientology and the internationally acclaimed author, Dr. Thomas Szasz, Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at the State University of New York, Syracuse.

CCHR also exposes the deadly side effects of drugs and how bogus psychiatric disorders are created by psychiatrists to give them another reason to prescribe drugs to people and make more money, while harming the society.

Many Scientology celebrities, such as Catherine Bell, Kirstie Alley, Leah Remini, Kelly Preston, Tom Cruise, Danny Masterson, Marisol Nichols, Jenna Elfman, support CCHR and their activities to save kids from being drugged to death.

In conclusion, you can clearly see that Scientologists are completely anti-drug and are 100% drug-free.  It goes without saying that Scientology does not support groups or people who are for drugs.  Reversely, it is interesting to know that a good percentage of people who oppose Scientology are actually pro-drugs, despite the violence, suffering and deaths caused by them.

Nevertheless, Scientology will continue to be drug-free, allow people to think freely and will continue to campaign a drug-free world.

The Creed of the Church of Scientology — What do Scientologists Believe?

The Creed of the Church of Scientology — What do Scientologists Believe?

The Creed of the Church of Scientology was written by L. Ron Hubbard shortly after the Church was formed in Los Angeles on February 18, 1954. After he issued this creed from his office in Phoenix, Arizona, the Church of Scientology adopted it as official because it succinctly states what Scientologists believe.

We of the Church believe:

That all men of whatever race, color or creed were created with equal rights;

That all men have inalienable rights to their own religious practices and their performance;

That all men have inalienable rights to their own lives;

That all men have inalienable rights to their sanity;

That all men have inalienable rights to their own defense;

That all men have inalienable rights to conceive, choose, assist or support their own organizations, churches and governments;

That all men have inalienable rights to think freely, to talk freely, to write freely their own opinions and to counter or utter or write upon the opinions of others;

That all men have inalienable rights to the creation of their own kind;

That the souls of men have the rights of men;

That the study of the mind and the healing of mentally caused ills should not be alienated from religion or condoned in nonreligious fields;

And that no agency less than God has the power to suspend or set aside these rights, overtly or covertly.

And we of the Church believe:

That man is basically good;

That he is seeking to survive;

That his survival depends upon himself and upon his fellows and his attainment of brotherhood with the universe.

And we of the Church believe that the laws of God forbid man:

To destroy his own kind;

To destroy the sanity of another;

To destroy or enslave another’s soul;

To destroy or reduce the survival of one’s companions or one’s group.

And we of the Church believe that the spirit can be saved and that the spirit alone may save or heal the body.

You can find out more about the Church of Scientology’s beliefs in the book: Scientology: Theology & Practice of a Contemporary Religion.  The book is also online at: http://www.bonafidescientology.org

This book also contains articles written by prominent religious scholars from around the world which really goes into what Scientology is and its beliefs, how it relates to other religions, why Scientology is a religion, etc.

For those who are actually interested in getting an actual in-depth concept of how Scientology is a religion, this definitely is a great work for that.

The Aims of Scientology

The Aims of Scientology

A civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where man is free to rise to greater heights, are the aims of Scientology.
