March 13 is L. Ron Hubbard’s Birthday

LRH Birthday Cake

Many people around the world today celebrate L. Ron Hubbard’s birthday. As the founder of the Scientology religion, his legacy lives on as the Church of Scientology continues to grow.

His legacy in the technology of study continues to spread while it helps thousands through Applied Scholastics and other schools and institutions all across the world.

Hundreds of thousands have learned his views on drugs and the harmful effects these have on the body, and live drug free lives because of this. Through his works in drug rehabilitation and drug education, Narconon continues to help people get off drugs in one of the most successful drug rehabilitation systems available.

Because of his amazing ability in the field of writing, L. Ron Hubbard’s books have been sold in the millions and still sell today at a massive rate. L. Ron Hubbard is the most translated author. Guiness World Record Awarded to L. Ron Hubbard.

There is no doubt that L. Ron Hubbard has changed the lives of millions, all in the name of love, increased ability, increased potential, freedom, caring, human rights and through his own self desire to help others.

L. Ron Hubbard will continue to be revered as one of the greatest men of recent times.

And best of all, myself personally, I celebrate L. Ron Hubbard’s birthday because I have studied a good portion of his religious works and I have found so many truths contained within them that mean much more to me and my own life than I can even figure out how to describe. He has done a brilliant job at sorting out so many things about people, their emotions, their problems, their decisions, and how to handle these, as well as how to increase abilities and how to help someone regain their own viewpoint and desire to create and be cause over life. For that I am too grateful and so I share the occasion with many on this day to celebrate his birthday.

Scientology - Advancing Literacy and Education

Scientology - Advancing Literacy and Education

With L. Ron Hubbard’s study technology, it is possible to turn the tide on past educational failures and create truly competent, literate people who contribute to the prosperity and culture of our society.

Can something be done about learning failures that continue to cripple our economic and cultural growth? Of course!  There are ways we can improve the quality of education through a worldwide network of effective literacy and education programs, based on the breakthrough study technology by L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology.

You can find out more at http://www.effective-education.org.

L. Ron Hubbard’s study technology is used all over the world.  In fact, more than 3 million people have participated in Applied Scholastics programs throughout the world. The network of Applied Scholastics schools, groups and community literacy programs has grown to 94 schools and 476 groups in 56 nations. Applied Scholastics has trained over 66,000 educators, who in turn are bringing this vital technology to millions of students.  These numbers continue to grow.

To meet the growing recognition among educators of the vital role of Study Technology in professional development and classroom application, Applied Scholastics International opened a 100-acre campus near St. Louis, Missouri in 2003. It is the site of the first university of Study Technology as well as the international headquarters of Applied Scholastics.

In 1951, L. Ron Hubbard outlined the key data to bear in mind to maximize the effectiveness of the instruction of any subject. You can find out what these are in an article called “Teaching” by L. Ron Hubbard in this brochure: http://www.effective-education.org/pdf/english.pdf.

Dr. Ben Ngubane, Minister of Arts, Culture, Science and Technology South Africa stated:

Scientologists have contributed to the educational base of our country through the ‘Education Alive’ programme and other initiatives for nearly three decades. They delivered the Study Technology of L. Ron Hubbard to hundreds of thousands of students and teachers — even in the face of apartheid-era opposition. “These methods of study represent a revolution in comprehension and the speed with which education and assimilation of knowledge can be accomplished.”

Scientologists Promote the Right to Education

Scientologists Promote the Right to Education

Everyone has a right to learn, a right to be taught, a right to teach, a right to an education, a right to be literate and a right to increase the literacy of others.  Education is one of the most important factors in any society, just ask any parent, they will tell you the same thing.

L. Ron Hubbard once stated: “The end and goal of any society as it addresses the problem of education is to raise the ability, the initiative and the cultural level, and with all of that the survival level, of that society.”

Youth for Human Rights carries the torch in bringing the human rights message to millions across the world.

The Church of Scientology International created short Public Service Announcements for each of the articles contained in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.   The Church of Scientology has also taken innumerable other steps to increase the level of education and literacy in the world.  You can find out more about it at: http://www.effective-education.org/

Scientology Educating Children in India

Scientology Educating Children in India

A group of Scientologists in India have set up a free school in West Bengal, India to help educate children. It’s a wonderful idea and helps in a country with over 1 billion people.  The primary educator, Mohammad Khalilullah, is obviously doing a great job. Take a look at the above photo of kids.

Benefit concerts have taken place in order to obtain the needed funds to establish the school and keep it going.  Just last month, one such benefit concert took place at the Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre International’s Garden Pavilion where entertainment included Amrapali Ambegaokar, Nalini Natarajan, Ujjaldidar Singh Memorial Foundation, Michael Duff and Band, Deedee O’Malley and Band and CC Kids on Stage for a Better World.

L. Ron Hubbard’s Masterful Study Technology

L. Ron Hubbard’s Masterful Study Technology

The St. Petersburg Times reported in “Scientology makes it in classroom door” a great success of L. Ron Hubbard’s study technology being introduced in Baton Rouge, LA.

http://www.sptimes.com/2007/05/20/Worldandnation/Scientology_makes_it_.shtml

As part of their curriculum, all the eighth-graders at Prescott Middle School are being taught learning techniques Hubbard devised four decades ago when he set out to remedy what he viewed as barriers to learning.  Prescott Middle School is predominantly black.

The curriculum and textbooks used by Prescott’s 156 eighth-graders are similar to methods and books used among Scientologists worldwide. And teaching the children is a Scientologist hired by the school district.

Scientologists helped introduce L. Ron Hubbard’s study program into the school following the activities the Church did when Scientology Volunteer Ministers were helping in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and Rita.

Celebrity Scientologists John Travolta and Isaac Hayes played key roles.  Both John Travolta and Isaac Hayes have a history helping children in the area of education, including introducing L. Ron Hubbard’s precise and incredible study technology.

The people who run the program say Hubbard’s teaching technique is divorced from Scientology, that it is just a masterful way to learn. They note that it has won the support of many non-Scientologists, including a number of academics.

After a year of monitoring the program, Prescott’s principal found that Hubbard’s technology has changed the school’s long-dreadful scores in which have turned around.

The article further goes into the three specific barriers to study and the exact manifestations each of these cause on students.

The article also touches upon the history of L. Ron Hubbard’s creation of the study technology.

In 1972, Scientologists founded the nonprofit Applied Scholastics to advance Hubbard’s “study technology” outside Scientology.

The program in Prescott Middle was introduced by Mayor Kip Holden, who had met with John Travolta, Kelly Preston and also Isaac Hayes concerning Hubbard’s study technology.

With below level scores now finally rising to normal, other local institutions are now getting interested in L. Ron Hubbard’s study technology.

Tom Cruise and L. Ron Hubbard’s Study Technology

Tom Cruise and L. Ron Hubbard’s Study Technology

When he was a young boy, Tom Cruise had a dream — he wanted to fly planes. “What better time to learn how to be a pilot than in preparation for ‘Top Gun,’” he told more than 2,500 educators and guests gathered at the opening of a new international teacher training facility. “So one day I went to have a lesson and after one day I gave it up — I couldn’t do it.”

There was just one problem, he admitted: he could not understand what he was reading in his training manual — and to make matters worse, a decade earlier he had been convinced of a label he found impossible to shake at the time. “I had been diagnosed with a false label, dyslexia,” he said. “With that I had been told I had a ‘learning disorder.’”

Thus, his immediate reaction to failure as a pilot student was, “’I’m dyslexic — damn!’ I’ve got to figure this out.”

He tried everything to unsnarl his study troubles — “different tutor groups, different speed reading courses, I hired people to come in and read with me.”

Then, the breakthrough:

“Shortly after that I discovered ‘the Study Technology,’” he said, referring to discoveries by author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard that teach people, young or old, how to learn anything.

He hasn’t seen his learning difficulties since he began using Mr. Hubbard’s revolutionary Study Technology.

“Now, I am a licensed pilot, twin engine, instrument rated, which means I can fly through any weather by flight instrument alone; commercial rated, which means I can carry passengers as a profession if I so desire; and just for fun, I’m a highly trained aerobatic pilot.

“I am a film producer, I have my own film company, I own and run three companies and I continue to act in movies in addition to all that. And I learn every single day,” he stressed. “I use this technology each and every day in my life, at my work, with my children, in every area of life. Because of what Study Technology did for me, I started helping others.”

Cruise has done so as a founding board member of the Hollywood Education and Literacy Project (H.E.L.P.), a highly effective community-based learning program utilizing the Study Technology to open the doors of learning to students of all ages. He has assisted in H.E.L.P.’s expansion to 26 chapters across the world. In 2003, he was recognized by the National Mentoring Partnership with their Excellence in Mentoring Award.

As ambassador for Applied Scholastics International, Cruise says that this highly practical brand of help is the missing step in education. It certainly enabled him to come to grips with the real reasons for any “learning disability” he had, and it has also made successful learners of millions more around the world.

“Study Technology works. It can turn around anyone’s education difficulties and change one’s life. It’s applicable to people at every level of society, every nationality, every age.”
— Tom Cruise

Psychiatry: An Industry of Death Museum

Psychiatry: An Industry of Death Museum

With public distrust of psychiatry increasing—and government agency drug warnings at an all-time high—a Church of Scientology-sponsored psychiatric watchdog group (Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR)) shows that it’s much worse than you think.

On December 17, 2005, Citizens Commission of Human Rights held their grand opening of the Psychiatry: An Industry of Death Museum in Los Angeles, California.

The museum features 14 documentaries with statements from scores of health professionals, academics, legal and human rights experts, and victims of psychiatric brutalities ranging from electroshock and involuntary commitment to political torture, psychosurgery and the devastating effects of psychotropic drugs. The state-of-the-art museum documents that psychiatry is an industry driven entirely by profit, and provides practical guidance for lawmakers, doctors, human rights advocates and private citizens to take action in their own sphere to bring psychiatry under the law.

Community and government leaders were joined by ardent celebrity supporters Lisa Marie Presley, Priscilla Presley, Danny Masterson, Giovanni Ribisi, Leah Remini, Jenna Elfman, Catherine Bell and Marisol Nichols at the grand opening.

More than 2,300 people attended.  Speakers included Martin Whitely, a member of parliament from Western Australia, Georgia Senator Nancy Schaefer, Dr. Jeffrey A. Schaler, psychologist and professor of Justice, Law and Society at American University, Washington, DC. and Liberty Committee Executive Director Kent Snyder.

Jan Eastgate, President of CCHR International stated, “There have been 18 psychiatric drug warnings issued in the last year alone, which link suicide, hostility, worsening depression, mania, hallucinations and death to psychiatric drugs that reap $80 billion a year—an abuse CCHR has persistently exposed for three decades.”

A sampling of current statistics and facts shown in the new museum include:

• Psychiatrists are using electroshock, drugs and other barbaric means to torture political dissidents.

• 17 million children worldwide are taking psychiatric drugs, which can cause suicide, hostility, violence, mania and drug dependence.

• More than 100,000 patients die each year in psychiatric institutions.

• Annually, psychiatrists kill up to 10,000 people with their use of electroshock—460 volts of electricity sent searing through the brain. Three-quarters of all electroshock victims are women.

• Psychiatrists and psychologists have raped 250,000 women. Studies show that 10 to 25 percent of psychiatrists sexually assault their patients; of every 20 of these victims one is likely to be a minor.

http://www.scientology.org/en_US/news-media/briefing/2005/hr/051221.html

Perhaps this explains why Tom Cruise, Kirstie Alley, Marisol Nichols, Kelly Preston and so many others support CCHR and disapprove of psychiatry’s drugging of kids and ruining our culture.
