Caring for the Apathetic

I was asked a question today which I thought was rather interesting. It went sort of like this:

“Apathetic person, dead set of failing, needs help and once really wanted it. Won’t go and get help but will spend an hour talking to you because you care. What can you do to help out without also becoming apathetic, and win? You shouldn’t have to be responsible for life for that person.”

I thought to myself, that’s true, I shouldn’t HAVE to be responsible for that person (even though I always am). I responded:

“A stranger walking down a dirt road in a mostly destitute little town sees a couple of people at the edge of the road, half dead and completely dehydrated.

“As he walks by, one groans to himself ‘water’ and somehow turns to his side, with his eyes sort of half open, half shut.  Obviously he’s practically a goner.

“Yet, looking not to far from where they are is a box and in the box are jugs of water. Does the man keep walking as he says to himself, ‘Oh, they will find it’?

“Or does he care to bring them water, and when they have freshened up some, tell them where there is more? Hmm?”

Funnily the answer she gave me was that the stranger must have been listening and he would have to not be afraid.

So I say, well that would be true. But there is a difference between someone who is aware of himself enough to be able to listen to his environment and one who is stuck.

She then says well, what if he is unwilling?

I go, yeah, but who would be unwilling, if they weren’t stuck in a past problem or incident that is making them afraid? She realized then what I was saying.

L. Ron Hubbard’s books, primarily Dianetics explains more about that.  As a side note, I thought it was funny to notice how we went from discussing “apathy” and then progressed to discussing “fear.”  This aligns with the Tone Scale, where “fear” is just a bit above “apathy.”

The Church of Scientology in France is about to celebrate their 50th anniversary.  The first Scientology church in France was established in Paris in 1959.  Since then, the Scientology religion in France has become widely known and Scientology churches can be found throughout the country spiritually assisting others.  The good and the help Scientology churches provide has been priceless, Scientologists say.

There are Dianetics and Scientology centers in Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Angers, St. Etienne, Clermont-Ferrand, Vannes, Nice, Bordeaux and Toulouse.

Two of the largest Scientology churches in France are in Paris.  When I visited the primary Paris church a few years ago, it was bustling full of people.  I also found it to be quite a large facility and right in the heart of Paris.

Scientology also caters to the top individuals in our society, namely artists, celebrities, politicians, leaders, sports figures, etc.  The reason is simple, these are the individuals that society depends upon and Scientology founder, L. Ron Hubbard once stated: “The world is carried on the backs of a desperate few” and “A culture is as great as it’s dreams, and it’s dreams are dreamt by artists.”

At any Scientology church, you can receive spiritual counseling, known as auditing, or do religious training.  Here is one of their study rooms:

Thus, there are Scientology Celebrity Centres around the world, including in Paris, which has a large and beautiful church to cater to its parishioners.

It is clear from the Creed of the Church of Scientology, that everyone has a right to believe in what they wish to believe and they should be able to think freely, create as they wish and live sane and happy lives.

I think it is great that the Scientology religion in France is nearing their 50th year in existence and I wish them many more successful years!

When I think about all of the help, support, guidance and gain that Scientologists have had there, it must be a lot!  From what I have heard, Scientology in France is huge and only getting bigger.  So many people moving to better themselves and learning to help others.  I asked one of my long-time greatest friends, Frederick, a French man – of course, for his opinion, this is what he had to say:

“L’Église de Scientologie m’a permi de me remettre sur la voie du bonheur avec ma femme, de devenir plus compétent au boulot et d’etre plus apprecié par mon entourage. Pour ça je serai à jamais reconnaissant.“

The greatest proof of Dianetics are the successes from those that have experienced Dianetics, and thus know its workability.  Most of the people that I know who have read and experience Dianetics auditing are very passionate about what it has done for them.  In fact, one friend of mine completely got rid of a pain he had in his back just by gaining a greater understanding of the mind as contained in Dianetics.  Studying the how the mind actually works and getting an insight into your own mind, bodes for a very interesting study.

One lady, Sabrina, a writer, said she was having trouble understanding people and why they would do certain things, but now she gets along much better with people and has more certainty in life. A young fellow named David found that Dianetics gave him a greater understanding of life and why he used to feel disassociated, like he wasn’t part of the group. Dianetics opened the door for him and really gave him the answers he was looking for. A young actress named Jennifer explained that when she had a baby, she began to experience all kinds of emotions and was crying and was sad, which didn’t make any sense. She couldn’t understand why. Clearly such inappropriate emotions was also having an effect on her husband and even the baby. She totally handled this with Dianetics and was able to actually begin enjoying being with her baby and life became much easier for her.

Well, if you want to know what Tom Cruise or Katie Holmes is probably reading right now, I bet it is one of L. Ron Hubbard’s Scientology books. Bridge Publications can hardly keep up with the demand.

L. Ron Hubbard has written hundreds of works. These books are the “basics” of the Scientology religion. The first book in Scientology really still is Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health. This was a bestseller in 1950 when it was first released and still today sells millions. Over 20 million copies at least so far.

Perhaps you have wondered “Who should be a Scientologist?”, “Could I be a Scientologist?”, “Would I want to be a Scientologist?” or “Is Scientology for me?”, etc.

It is quite amazing to see how the entire religion of Scientology could change forever in one day.  Well, it did!  And that is an under statement by far.  Because the effects of this branch out way beyond the total number of Scientologists.

The concept is simple. The Chairman of the Board of the Religious Technology Center, Mr. David Miscavige, has been hinting at recent major Church events that something big was coming, something that would change the Scientology religion forever.  Well, he was right! 

The promotion leading to the event was nothing short of intense and began creating quite a buzz in the Scientology community.  There were promotional statements such as “There are days in history and there are days that make HISTORY — the most important event ever!” or “You’ve heard tell of a coming epic event in a near tomorrow.  TOMORROW has arrived.“ Word of mouth began to spread faster than the Church could even invite people to the event.  And within just in a few weeks, a good percentage of all Scientologists knew something was happening, and it was BIG!

The event took place in Clearwater, Florida on June 29, 2007.  When the event began, Mr. David Miscavige stated: ”This is the event you have been waiting for.”  It truly was the night that changed Scientology forever! 

What followed was a distillation of more than five years and two million man-hours of intensive work.  It was the ultimate story of keeping the technology of Dianetics and Scientology pure to its true source — L. Ron Hubbard.  Mr. Miscavige’s presentation revealed details of the investigation, the Whys and the discoveries that culminated in the epic release of the Basics. 

They encompass L. Ron Hubbard’s basic books — containg the written summation of every breakthrough in his developmental path of Dianetics and Scientology — in their pure form. And casting those breakthroughs in ever more three-dimensional clarity, the lectures — including entire series never before available in which L. Ron Hubbard walked Scientologists through those discoveries.

The Basics comprise the “greatest recovery of lost tech in Dianetics and Scientology history,” Mr. Miscavige said. “Or, to put it another way, the recovery of Dianetics and Scientology — period.”

To understand what exactly is meant by “lost tech,” you would have to see the event yourself.  It is a story that every Scientologist must know.  (The event can be seen at your local Church, as they have it on DVD.)

Now, anyone can avail themselves of what was ultimately the conclusion — the basic materials of Dianetics and Scientology, exactly as L. Ron Hubbard intended them.  The result and what this means for all Scientologists is not only a level of understanding that was literally impossible before this release, but it changed the definition of what it meant to be a Scientologist!

Each book and lecture series of the Basics is a distinct body of knowledge, building one upon the next for a complete knowingness.  Spanning the reactive mind to exterior OT ability, they embrace the advance of Mr. Hubbard’s discoveries on that route, including the Tone Scale, Prime Thought and the Ideal State of Being, the Whole Track, Life Energy and the Potentials of Theta.

It is the developmental journey every Scientologist must travel and know to the core for the sake of their own eternity.  Mr. Miscavige said: “When you get the Tech as L. Ron Hubbard intended, in the exact form he intended — you get the results he inteded when you apply it in your life.”

Mr. Miscavige further stated: “No matter what the future holds –  and it holds a lot — in all the years to come, we’ll look back on this date as to what made all that future possible.”

With the release of the Basics, which is composed of L. Ron Hubbard’s basic books (18 of them) and lectures (11 different series of lectures), also came extension courses, which can be done at home, and courses that can be done at any Scientology church.

Since the release of the Basics, Scientology has truly moved into a Golden Age of Knowledge.  This knowledge — the knowledge of life itself — can now be known and used to eternity!  Once you learn this knowledge, you will not forget it, because you learn it so well, you just know it and can actually go out and apply it to yourself, your fellows and life.

If it wasn’t already clear, I predict that from this point forward, the general view of Scientology and Scientologists will change.  This is because the knowledge and abilities of all Scientologists are about to be increased by tenfold — at least.  This could just mark the starting point of a true Golden Age for Man.  I would say as soon as two years from now, the entire view of Scientology from a general public perspective will begin to change dramatically.

The technology contained in Mr. Hubbard’s works have created some of the most amazing effects, since they are based on truth itself and workability.  It is thus clear that all manner of society’s ills can then be resolved through the application of the right piece of Mr. Hubbard’s technology.  Today’s society is filled with problems such as drugs, immorality, irrational behavior, stupidity, illogics, disagreements, pain, problems, suffering, not enough money/wealth, despair, fear, unwanted emotions, inabilities, etc.  But now there is more hope than ever and Scientologists will be more and more able to assist in these areas.

My question to you is, are you just going to stand and watch while others pass you by?  Are you going to be a spectator and merely hope things get better?  Why not change things for the better now?  Why wait?  Why not take advantage of the technology of life?

Are you ready?  What have you got to lose?  Eternity awaits!

Dianetics is the only workable technology of the mind.  It is also the number one self-help bestseller ever.  Rightfully so.

Here is an interesting story of one man’s discovery of Dianetics.  He said:

“As a little boy I always saw the commercial for Dianetics on TV and was always interested in it, ‘The Modern Science of Mental Health’ and I wanted to read it someday or know more about it. So at the age of about 10 years old I somehow came across the book and excitedly sat down to read it.  But to my dismay, I really couldn’t understand it. It was above my comprehension, even though I wanted to read it very badly.

“So almost 20 years later, in finally reading Dianetics, I was able to get out of it what I was seeking 20 years prior, and much, much, more.  Dianetics is where it all started.  It is a must that every Scientologist read it, cover to cover with a dictionary; and completely finish it. This book and the understanding of this book is why I am in Scientology today. I’ve always been interested in the mind and psychology and so forth, but I never got concreate answers — until I read Dianetics. Learning about the reactive and analytical mind, how and why it works, and why we do the things that we do was astounding to me.  Understanding engrams and how we get them was of great interest to me. Getting rid of these engrams and reaching the state of Clear, to me was like ‘modern day enlightenment!!

“In Dianetics, L. Ron Hubbard talks about psychosomatic illnesses and confronting so many things in our lives that we generally don’t know about or repress in our minds. I learned that these are the very things we need to take responsibility for and confront. After reading Dianetics, I realized how and why the human mind works and how it evolved to this day.

“I truly believe Dianetics is ahead of its time.  The world doesn’t yet see or realize the power of this science and its workability.  I believe however, that one day it will.  This book has single-handedly made me go up The Bridge, and that decision has changed my life for the better, more than anything else I have ever, or will ever experience.”

Frankly, I have to agree with his last paragraph in particular.  The power of Dianetics is still untapped to a large degree.  As Dianetics and Scientology continue to grow, the visibility and availability of Dianetics will be ever so greater.  Those who find Dianetics now and become free first are the lucky ones.  Why continue to suffer in life, harbor hatred, feel fear, hang on to pain, when one can become free and Clear?
