Human Rights for All

Human Rights for All

By applying Scientology in my life, I find that it inherently increases my own viewpoint on others, including other groups and people that I don’t even know and people of all ages or races. There is no doubt that a sane world is one where human rights are guaranteed and where freedom to be comes naturally.

Scientology helps not only through the immense technology and laws of life, but also in its application and in its procedures. There are however, several points in The Code of a Scientologist which come to mind in supporting human rights that I feel have to be mentioned. The Code says:

“As a Scientologist, I pledge myself to the Code of Scientology for the good of all. …
2. To use the best I know of Scientology to the best of my ability to help my family, friends, groups and the world.
4. To decry and do all I can to abolish any and all abuses against life and Mankind.
8. To support true humanitarian endeavors in the fields of human rights.
9. To embrace the policy of equal justice for all.
10. To work for freedom of speech in the world.
11. To actively decry the suppression of knowledge, wisdom, philosophy or data which would help Mankind.
12. To support the freedom of religion.
20. To make this world a saner, better place.”

In that same vein, The Creed of the Church of Scientology, written in 1954, is equally clear. It says, in part:

“We of the Church believe
That all men of whatever race, color or creed were created with equal rights.
That all men have inalienable rights to their own religious practices and their performance.
That all men have inalienable rights to their own lives.
That all men have inalienable rights to their sanity.
That all men have inalienable rights to their own defense.
That all men have inalienable rights to conceive, choose, assist or support their own organizations, churches and governments.
That all men have inalienable rights to think freely, to talk freely, to write freely their own opinions and to counter or utter or write upon the opinions of others.
That all men have inalienable rights to the creation of their own kind.
That the souls of men have the rights of men.
That the study of the mind and the healing of mentally caused ills should not be alienated from religion or condoned in nonreligious fields.
And that no agency less than God has the power to suspend or set aside these rights, overtly or covertly.”

L. Ron Hubbard once stated: “On the day we can fully trust each other, there will be peace on Earth.”

Perhaps it isn’t real for you, but I have discovered that the greater responsibility I take for my own area and the people around me, the greater I respect them as people and grant them their own space and ability to be who they are. This extends further to a greater respect and a natural love for all people. You see it in races and places all over the world where they respect others, that extension of care and respect is very much appreciated and goes a long way toward human relations. The subject of help is one which could use a lot of improvement and you may have noticed when someone helped you in a time of need, you were very thankful.

In addition to the work done by the Church of Scientology to increase awareness of human rights, I appreciate the work that the Youth for Human Rights International has done and their sister organization Artists for Human Rights. I know that they take extensive measures every year to spread the word of peace and human rights in all countries, including many third world countries. They also both heavily support the Universal Declaration on Human Rights.

Joss Stone Defends Tom Cruise

Joss Stone Defends Tom Cruise

Funnily enough, sometimes it takes a girl to protect a man. Joss Stone, British soul singer and songwriter, has come out and defended Tom Cruise against critics.

She said: “Tom called me and said that he loved my music, would I like to come over and meet the family? I do not understand why people are so mean about him.”

“He’s lovely, he didn’t strike me as weird in any way. I will stand up for that man against any of his critics.”

It goes to show that people who know Tom Cruise personally not only know he is a great guy, but go away actually impressed and willing to stand beside him and all that he stands for.

John Travolta to Dance at the Oscars

John Travolta to Dance at the Oscars

(February 24, 200 8)

Yesterday John Travolta was rehearsing at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood as he prepares to present the “Best Original Song” Oscar.

Apparently, however, rumor has it that dance legend John Travolta may actually grab one of the dancers and waltz to the podium.

Awards-show director Gil Cates wants the actor to make a waltzing appearance while singer Jon McLaughlin performs the Oscar-nominated “So Close” from Enchanted with 30 or so dancers.

“He is going to grab one of the dancers and dance his way to the podium and then present,” E! Online quoted a source, as saying.

“We have no idea what they’ve got planned for John this year. We won’t know anything until we see Gil Cates at rehearsals this weekend,” Travolta’s rep said.

A rep for the Oscars apparently declined to comment.

J. Lo Gives Birth to Twins

J. Lo Gives Birth to Twins

Prior to Jennifer Lopez giving birth to twins, media was flying around saying that Scientologist Leah Remini was suggesting she deliver her babies in what Scientology calls “silent birth.” This basically means a birth experience that is as quiet and calm as possible—the best thing for the well-being of the mother and baby. (http://www.silentbirth.org)

Being a Scientologist myself, I know that this is done all the time. My cousin for instance highly recommends delivering babies this way. She has had plenty of experience. She has also helped other mothers too. I’d say she’s definitely got her duties as a mother down.

J.Lo must love performing!

Industry of Death Music Video

Industry of Death Music Video

Musician, Actress and Artist Skye Delamey created a great music video concerning psychiatric abuse. It is called: “Industry of Death.” Watch it!

If you have seen the museum: Psychiatry: An Industry of Death, you know exactly where she’s coming from. Having been there myself, I would honestly suggest you stop by for a visit. It might just give you a shockingly new reality on life. The museum was established by the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (http://www.cchr.org) and is located on Sunset Boulevard in the heart of Hollywood.

In the video she speaks of various celebrities who have passed away, such as Curt Cobain, through the use of psychiatric drugs. On this same vain though, I might add that Heath Ledger (younger than I) just passed away too through the misuse over prescription and psychiatric drugs. Another tragedy attributable to psychiatry.

Many celebrities, including Scientologists Kirstie Alley, Lisa Marie Presley, Kelly Preston, Leah Remini, Jenna Elfman, Tom Cruise and Catherine Bell highly support CCHR and its activities to inform others on the dangers of psychiatry.

Skye Delamey has a nice website up at http://www.skyeinfo.com.

Interview with Will Smith

Interview with Will Smith

(Will Smith talking about the Bible, Scientology, Tom Cruise and his movie — I Am Legend)

I just found a video clip on Youtube of a show that was on Access. It is an interview of Will Smith talking about the Bible, Tom Cruise, Scientology, other religions and his new movie — I Am Legend! Here it is:

When I watched this video, what struck me was Smith’s intention and drive behind, not just whatever he does, but also what he says. I suppose this is what makes him a powerful player in the industry.

Tom Cruise — Dynamic, Passionate, Adventurous

Tom Cruise — Dynamic, Passionate, Adventurous

(Celebrities are spontaneously speaking out on behalf of Mr. Tom Cruise, in response to recent tabloid media.)

When it comes to Tom Cruise, many have a lot to say. Here is what some celebrities are saying, per People:

ADAM SANDLER: “To see anyone’s private life invaded and mocked like this is sickening. It’s especially gross when it happens to a guy like Cruise, who’s a great dad, a great husband, and a great friend.”

I agree with Adam Sandler.  Looks like Tom Cruise has some friends that I didn’t even know about. Adam Sandler has always been known to me as a comedian and author of the Chanukah songs

BRUCE WILLIS: “There is no excuse for the ridicule that is being shown to Tom Cruise in the media because of his faith. Mr. Cruise deserves and is entitled to the same religious tolerance that is afforded every other religion on earth.”

Bruce Willis is right again!  Mr. Cruise definitely does have the right to believe whatever he wants to believe.  I appreciate Willis’ statement about religious tolerance.

DEMI MOORE: “What’s so difficult about allowing someone to be happy? After meeting Katie, he was sharing in an unguarded way. He’s passionate; he’s adventurous. Give him a break.”

I had forgotten that Demi Moore was also discriminated against for her religious beliefs just a few years ago.  I think her statement that Tom Cruise is passionate and adventurous is most definitely true.

BEN STILLER: “Imagine having a baby and people talking about it the way they did. People lose sight of the fact that Tom Cruise is actually a person. I feel for him. What he’s dealing with is rough.”

Stiller clearly doesn’t get as much media as Mr. Cruise, but clearly he can just imagine what it must be like.

JIM CARREY: “I’ve never known Tom to be anything but supportive, positive and honorable. Although his enthusiasm for Scientology is unsettling to some, what concerns me is not the content of this [Scientology] video, but the appetite we have to see those who’ve brought us so much joy held up to ridicule.”

Interesting statement.  Carrey used to be one of my favorite actors.  You will want to watch: Ace Ventura Pet Detective.

J. J. ABRAMS: “Tom Cruise is a sweetheart. His intensity is present in everything I’ve seen him do, whether it is work, play, exercise, family, religion. Tom is a life zealot.”

He says “Tom is a life zealot.”  I have seen many photos of Tom Cruise and many films and many shows and many smiles.  I have to agree with him.

HARVEY WEINSTEIN: “The Tom Cruise in the media isn’t the Tom his friends know. He’s the same dynamic, great guy he’s always been.”

Even Harvey Weinstein says Tom Cruise is “dynamic.”

In fact, even Will Smith supports Tom Cruise. http://spiritualbeing.wordpress.com/2008/01/25/will-smith-one-of-a-kind/

Let’s not forget John Travolta: http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20172867,00.html

What’s your view of Tom Cruise?

Will Smith — One of a Kind

Will Smith - One of a Kind
(The Actor and Rapper Talks About Scientology, Tom Cruise and His Career)

I must say that if there is one actor I like most in Hollywood, it must be Will Smith. Not only is he a great actor and proven rapper, but he is a man of style, class and family values. So, when he comes out with something new, hey, I’m interested.

Will Smith was just featured on the cover of Men’s Vogue (”Prince Becomes King“) and his film “I Am Legend” is already topping $250 million in the box office. Will Smith is one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars.

In the Men’s Vogue article, Will Smith speaks of Tom Cruise (his buddy) and Tom’s religion, Scientology. The article says:

Smith’s power marriage has begotten some power friendships, most notably with newlyweirds Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. “That’s my man right there,” says Smith. “We push one another to be better. We both homeschool our children, and there’s a comprehension of what each of us goes through that everybody else can’t understand, that’s a really unique position that less than .0001 percent of people on earth will ever experience.

It is through Cruise that Smith—a polymath in a town of pedants—is learning about Scientology, and if there’s anyone in the world who can make L. Ron Hubbard’s universe sound less spooky, it’s Will Smith. “I studied Islam for Ali, I grew up in a Baptist household, I went to a Catholic school,” he reasons. “I’ve studied Buddhism and Hinduism and I’ve studied Scientology through Tom. And nobody’s saying anything different! Look, I use the Bible to explain the ideas of God, and life, and love, and relationships, and the life of Jesus Christ to teach my children how to defend their spirit. But in all of the experiences I’ve had with Tom and Scientology, like, 98 percent of the principles are identical to the principles of the Bible. The Bible says, Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. And you know, there’s a Scientology principle: Do not create experiences for others that they cannot comfortably perceive.” Smith would rather stroll many paths to enlightenment than commit to one high road. “The Bible talks about your spirit being immortal, that you were created for existence beyond your physical body. Well, that’s no different from Scientology! I don’t think that because the word someone uses for spirit is thetan that the definition becomes any different.”

I believe it is important to respect the religious beliefs of others too. This too is a concept with L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology promotes. Check out this short clip on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5POLgGqlxuA.

When I look back at Will Smith’s career, I see blockbuster after blockbuster after blockbuster.

Will Smith is also listed in Forbes’ Top 100 Celebs.
