When 9/11 firefighter Joe Montaperto won a free bicycle at the start of last year’s Five Boro Bike Tour, he vowed he’d improve his breathing problems in time to ride it in this year’s event - and on Sunday, he’ll make good on his promise.

When Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes attended the fundraiser for the NY Detox on April 19, 2007 in Manhattan, he helped raise $1.3 million funds for the Detox Project.  Over 200 people attended the private dinner, which also included government and union officials, celebrities and New York firefighters and police officers who had completed the program to great success.
