Scientology Celebrities on Twitter

Scientology Celebrities on Twitter

Just as the world turns, new fads abound.  Twitter.com – a fad, for friends, for a cause, for business, for personal fun? Who knows. But some Scientology celebrities are using it.

Kirstie Alley – http://twitter.com/kirstiealley

Marisol Nichols – http://twitter.com/marisolnichols

Ethan Suplee – http://twitter.com/EthanSuplee

Danny Masterson – http://twitter.com/dannymasterson

Chick Corea – http://twitter.com/chickcorea

Billy Sheehan – http://twitter.com/billyonbass

I am sure there are others, so I will update when I learn more.

Scientologists are from all walks of life – watch the “Meet a Scientologist” videos on http://www.scientology.org.

Even California Governor Schwarzenegger is on Twitter (not a Scientologist though).

Caring for the Apathetic

Caring for the Apathetic

I was asked a question today which I thought was rather interesting. It went sort of like this:

“Apathetic person, dead set of failing, needs help and once really wanted it. Won’t go and get help but will spend an hour talking to you because you care. What can you do to help out without also becoming apathetic, and win? You shouldn’t have to be responsible for life for that person.”

I thought to myself, that’s true, I shouldn’t HAVE to be responsible for that person (even though I always am). I responded:

“A stranger walking down a dirt road in a mostly destitute little town sees a couple of people at the edge of the road, half dead and completely dehydrated.

“As he walks by, one groans to himself ‘water’ and somehow turns to his side, with his eyes sort of half open, half shut.  Obviously he’s practically a goner.

“Yet, looking not to far from where they are is a box and in the box are jugs of water. Does the man keep walking as he says to himself, ‘Oh, they will find it’?

“Or does he care to bring them water, and when they have freshened up some, tell them where there is more? Hmm?”

Funnily the answer she gave me was that the stranger must have been listening and he would have to not be afraid.

So I say, well that would be true. But there is a difference between someone who is aware of himself enough to be able to listen to his environment and one who is stuck.

She then says well, what if he is unwilling?

I go, yeah, but who would be unwilling, if they weren’t stuck in a past problem or incident that is making them afraid? She realized then what I was saying.

L. Ron Hubbard’s books, primarily Dianetics explains more about that.  As a side note, I thought it was funny to notice how we went from discussing “apathy” and then progressed to discussing “fear.”  This aligns with the Tone Scale, where “fear” is just a bit above “apathy.”

Vote – You Have A Right To Be Heard

Vote – You Have A Right To Be Heard

An intense collection of celebrities have united in the form of public service announcements requesting that everyone vote on November 4th.  They aren’t demanding you choose Obama or McCain, but they are requesting you exercise your rights as a citizen of the United States to register and allow yourself to be heard.  A Youtube channel called “5friendsvote” promotes the idea of voting and suggests that everyone should in turn get five people to vote, who in turn would also each get five to vote.

Here are the PSAs.  They are great.  Get the message out!  Vote!

Scientology Gala – 12th Annual Charity Concert

Scientology Gala – 12th Annual Charity Concert

Over 1,500 people joined the Church of Scientology in Sussex, England for their 12th Annual Charity Concert. Hollywood actress and Scientologist, Kelly Preston, presented a check for £50,000 to Sussex Air Ambulance on behalf of the L. Ron Hubbard Foundation and the Church of Scientology.

Among the more than 1,500 in attendance enjoying the gala concert and giving their support were Mayors, District Council Chairmen, Town Councilors and community leaders from all over the South of England. Representatives from a wide variety of embassies attended, including from Cameroon, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Fiji, South Africa, and Liberia.

Many of the Scientologists who attended came in from all over Europe as well as the United States. They were also celebrating the International Association of Scientologists anniversary event held live there at the beautiful Scientology property in Saint Hill, East Grinstead.

The gala concert covered a wide spectrum of music – from rock legend Edgar Winter, Academy Award nominated film composer Mark Isham and Australian pop superstar Kate Ceberano, to ‘Italian Queen of Jazz’ Elena Roggero, drummer Woody Woodmansey (best known for his years with David Bowie and the Spiders from Mars), and the UK’s top jive band – the Jive Aces. Ms. Preston was the Master of Ceremonies.

Poverty and Human Rights

Poverty and Human Rights

So many people live in poverty or such low states that the “average” person usually considers them too low to be helped. We have all witnessed those who lack the basic necessities in life, no food, no home, no clothes, no wallet, no Internet connection and no choice and many just ignore them. This is wrong. Poverty must not be ignored.  We must help take care of our brothers and sisters.  The right to food and shelter is a basic human right for everyone.

Take action against poverty, educate others, be pro-active towards your fellow man.  Be proud to help and get out there and make an effort.  Every little step you take, every piece of initiative you can muster up, all that increased responsibility is what is takes.

I support Youth for Human Rights in their efforts to educate and carry out the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The Church of Scientology avidly supports efforts in the area of human rights and you can learn more about Scientology’s human rights activities on the Scientology Video Channel as well as Scientology’s Human Rights Department.

Today, you can start making a difference.  Check out the above links and check out Blog Action Day.  Let’s unite and bring our forces together and make a big difference!

PS: For those who are advocates of Human Rights, you may like to see this music video too.  It is called UNITED.

50 Years of Scientology in France

50 years of Scientology in France

The Church of Scientology in France is about to celebrate their 50th anniversary.  The first Scientology church in France was established in Paris in 1959.  Since then, the Scientology religion in France has become widely known and Scientology churches can be found throughout the country spiritually assisting others.  The good and the help Scientology churches provide has been priceless, Scientologists say.

There are Dianetics and Scientology centers in Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Angers, St. Etienne, Clermont-Ferrand, Vannes, Nice, Bordeaux and Toulouse.

Two of the largest Scientology churches in France are in Paris.  When I visited the primary Paris church a few years ago, it was bustling full of people.  I also found it to be quite a large facility and right in the heart of Paris.

Scientology also caters to the top individuals in our society, namely artists, celebrities, politicians, leaders, sports figures, etc.  The reason is simple, these are the individuals that society depends upon and Scientology founder, L. Ron Hubbard once stated: “The world is carried on the backs of a desperate few” and “A culture is as great as it’s dreams, and it’s dreams are dreamt by artists.”

At any Scientology church, you can receive spiritual counseling, known as auditing, or do religious training.  Here is one of their study rooms:

Thus, there are Scientology Celebrity Centres around the world, including in Paris, which has a large and beautiful church to cater to its parishioners.

Also, if you have ever been to the Chateau Elysee (now Manor Hotel) in Los Angeles, you will know what a beautiful and comforting place a Scientology Celebrity Centre can be.

The full breadth of knowledge about the mind, spirit and life contained in Scientology is rather massive.  Just the Basics include 18 books and hundreds of lectures delivered by L. Ron Hubbard.  See: http://www.librairie-sel.com/.

Today, the fruits of L. Ron Hubbard’s work are available to anyone who wishes to reach for them. And no matter how different Scientologists may be — whether teachers and businessmen, housewives and athletes, artists and secretaries — they hold one vital factor in common: having significantly bettered their lives, they know that Scientology works.  Nothing in Scientology, however, need be taken on faith. Its truths are self-evident, its principles are easily demonstrable and its technology can be seen at work in any church of Scientology. One need only open the door and step through. (Source: http://www.whatisscientology.org/html/Part02/index.html)

It is clear from the Creed of the Church of Scientology, that everyone has a right to believe in what they wish to believe and they should be able to think freely, create as they wish and live sane and happy lives.

The Dianetics website also forwards that same message of getting rid of the fears, thoughts, emotions and such that withhold you from being yourself in life.  Check out: http://french.dianetics.org/.

Scientologists in France are also very active in the community, whether that be pressing for human rights or dealing with France’s drug problem.

Scientologist Marc Arrighi - French Scientology Volunteer MinisterFrench Scientologist Marc Arrighi Assisting Others as a Scientology Volunteer Minister

I think it is great that the Scientology religion in France is nearing their 50th year in existence and I wish them many more successful years!

When I think about all of the help, support, guidance and gain that Scientologists have had there, it must be a lot!  From what I have heard, Scientology in France is huge and only getting bigger.  So many people moving to better themselves and learning to help others.  I asked one of my long-time greatest friends, Frederick, a French man – of course, for his opinion, this is what he had to say:

L’Église de Scientologie m’a permi de me remettre sur la voie du bonheur avec ma femme, de devenir plus compétent au boulot et d’etre plus apprecié par mon entourage. Pour ça je serai à jamais reconnaissant.

Young Scientologists; Old Scientologists

Young Scientologists; Old Scientologists

If you haven’t seen it yet, here is a video about what Scientologists say about Scientology, from their own personal experience.

In case you hadn’t guessed it, Scientologists are young and old, babies and grandfathers.  There are first generation Scientologists, second generation Scientologists, third generation Scientologists and even fourth generation Scientologists.  Some Scientologists are fat, some are thin.  Some are tall, some are small.  Some are European, some are Malayasian.  There are Scientologists in Alaska and there are Scientologists in New Zealand and South Africa and elsewhere.  Scientologists are here and they are there.  They can be anywhere.  You work with them, you see them, you listen to their music, you watch them in movies, you read their books, you go to school with them, you see their art, you play with them, you learn from them, you walk past them on the street … and so the world continues to turn.

Being a Scientologist is really one’s personal choice of becoming a Scientologists and learning the religion of Scientology and applying it towards one’s own life.  Aside from that, it doesn’t matter who you are or what you do or where you are from.  All Scientologists feel that it helps them in their activities towards a greater self.

Oh and just one other thing … Scientologists don’t like drugs, don’t like illegal activities, don’t like human rights abuses or false information.  Most Scientologists appreciate proper education, share ethical views, are productive members of society, support human rights and all in all love to create in life.

Youtube Video on L. Ron Hubbard

Scientology’s founder, L. Ron Hubbard is definitely a well-known name.  It’s all over the Internet and the media.  This is mostly because of Church of Scientology and celebrities like Tom Cruise.  This video gives a concise but in-depth overview of many of the facets of L. Ron Hubbard’s life, even before he founded the Scientology religion.  Things you probably didn’t even know about.

What Is Dianetics All About?

What Is Dianetics All About?

Here is an interesting video that explains it quite well.

The greatest proof of Dianetics are the successes from those that have experienced Dianetics, and thus know its workability.  Most of the people that I know who have read and experience Dianetics auditing are very passionate about what it has done for them.  In fact, one friend of mine completely got rid of a pain he had in his back just by gaining a greater understanding of the mind as contained in Dianetics.  Studying the how the mind actually works and getting an insight into your own mind, bodes for a very interesting study.

The book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health by L. Ron Hubbard gives an in-depth description of the Reactive Mind, the previously unknown source of nightmares, unreasonable fears, upsets and insecurities which enslave Man.  The book also shows you how to get rid of it.

You can find out more at http://www.dianetics.org.

Human Rights Are For You Too

Human Rights Are For You Too

There are many ways one’s rights are misused or abused.  There are many people that have rights and don’t even know it.  We often focus on those who are in unfortunate brutal positions in life.  There is no doubt that increased happiness means human rights for all, no matter what your color of skin is, or your beliefs, or the way you look or the way you act or the type of shoes you wear.  This isn’t a message for only third world countries either.  People in schools and cities alike are often mistreated.  I urge all to learn more about human rights, educate yourself, educate others and bring happiness to our world.  Its a funny thing that you too have human rights and you too have a responsibility for every person on this planet.
